Tuesday night Soeda-san took Greg and I out to Alcatraz ER a very interesting restaurant in Shibuya. Alcatraz is a prison hospital themed restaurant all the male staff are dressed as doctors and all the female staff as nurses. You get to eat in your very own cell. All of the drinks are themed, some come in bottles, others are fancier but I didn’t get any pictures of them. One drink, the blood transfusion comes with a glass and a elaborate apparatus containing the mix, the waiter siphons the mix into your glass. The ER LSD drink came with two alcohol filled pills.
It was a pretty good evening; great dinner and I got to visit for a bit with Soeda.
Wednesday Greg and I went to Disney Sea, on of the two Disney parks in Tokyo, well actually they are both in Chiba were Greg lives. The day was a bit rainy, which was actually ok as there were very few people in the park. We only had to wait at one ride and that was only because it was a motion control ride that you had to wait for one group to finish before you got on. The downside is that we finished seeing everything we wanted to in about two hours. We did take advantage of the lack of lines by going on the good rides multiple times, we did Journey to the Center of the Earth three times and the Indiana Jones ride twice. Just walking the queue to get onto the Indiana Jones ride took what seemed like 10 minutes, I would hate to be actually waiting for that one.
Thursday we went to the Edo-Tokyo Museum. It was pretty cool, but I don’t think many of my pictures turned out as they keep it pretty dim and you can only use your flash on some of the exhibits. We of course ended the day with some drinking on cheap night at Shibuya GASPANIC, though we did make it an early night catching one of the last trains home.
