Random Ramblings

I now own a white computer

It is nice to see that the shipping box is just the right size for the mac mini inside.

Then you get to the instructions.

Now the computer.

Now the remote on its own layer.

Finally the power bar

It is to bad Apple shipped the mouse and keyboard separately, even using a different courier, but it was put on a truck this morning so I should have it today. All my keyboards are from the dark ages before USB so I will need to wait.

Now I am just waiting for it to come up to room temperature as it was pretty cold on arrival.  Once it is warm I will turn it on and look at the boot screen until I get a keyboard.

Go over to flickr to see the photo set, I will add keyboard pictures when it arrives.

Update: the mouse and keyboard arrived.  The setup was pretty seemless, OS X asked if I had a wireless mouse when it needed a mouse.  The same with the keyboard, just turned the devices on and they paired up.

LOL. Well dman - what can I say? I knew it was just a matter of time. In the same vein - I've just finished switching my Windows Game Box to Ubuntu (linux for morons). Was pretty easy actually and works great. Am 100% on my MacBook Pro now for both windows and OS X. (Have a new MBP - ms. watts spilled a glass of water on my last one so had to get a new core2duo...)
