Things learnt reserved seats on the train are not really more expensive then un reserved seats, maybe $5-$10. Making it totaly worth not standing for a 2 hour train ride. Japanese hotels suck. Rates are based on a perperson fee so too rooms is the same price as two people in one room. There are also curfew's. You really should buy the ticket that also lets you go down the tram on Miyajima island. Even though it is only 1.7km down it seems to takes forever in the heat.
Anyway it was a fun trip, and everyone there was trying to convinse me to move there.
